A lot of people love the film It's a Wonderful Life. Some people find it to be not so wonderful. Do you have a favorite holiday-themed movie? And if so, what is it?

I LOVE It's a Wonderful Life, it always makes me feel good to watch it. And I like the musical Scrooge movie with Albert Finney and Alec Guiness.

Today was our town's local festival. It was a good day for it, cold but not so bad that it was uncomfortable, just a little wind. Everything went well with the parade and I mingled around talking and looking at crafts. The only thing I bought was a blanket which will be a Christmas gift. One booth had these curved iron crosses. The one I liked was about 18 inches and was $20. But I wouldn't let myself buy it but now I keep wishing that I had. I wanted to put it on the front porch in the space on the wall by the front door.

Then when I was walking back to the car I started feeling kind of bad. I'd gotten a small plate of food from one of the stands but didn't eat more than a bite or two, all of a sudden I wasn't hungry after I'd already payed for it. I don't think it was the food that made me sick. I was kind of dizzy for a while too and still don't feel right.

I started watching Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid tonight but just couldn't stick with it. I did get as far as the bicycle scene with Katherine Ross, that was hilarious. "Raindrops Are Falling on My Head" just DOES NOT FIT the movie.:)

And I missed Crusoe. I completely forgot that it switched to Saturdays. I think the network must be trying to lose what few fans have found the show. A pity. Next thing it'll be canceled. And someone said Pushing Daisies was canceled, definitely a shame, it was a unique show.

I heard a song on the radio while I was coming home but I don't know the name or who sings it which will drive me nutty until I find out.

Why oh why won't my phone hold a charge? It'll last for a couple of calls and then need recharging. I guess I'll have to get it looked at.

Grrrrr...I'm so tired and all stuffy headed.

I love Bones! And to think I used to really dislike her. House was actually mushy. I don't think I can take too much of that.

Please, please head cold go away!!!:(

Well, I'm home finally. The house seems very quiet. I'd be lonely without my cats. I don't think I'm coping well with the children being gone, even if it's only for two days. It's strange and very depressing. I don't mind my husband being gone though. Hee.:) One of the cats has been doing a lap around the house, through the kitchen, into the hall, around the perimeter of the living room, back down the hall to look at the children's rooms. The Christmas tree (yes, I already have it up!) has been eyed suspiciously in passing.

I've even started a new ficlet but I'm already stuck. It's a Vader and Luke piece. It's been a long time since I wrote about them and I was shocked that I seem to have lost the feeling for their voices, meaning that I can't make them sound like themselves.

And why is everyone downing Sara on CSI? Earlier at dinner, my mother made a comment about now that the dark haired girl was gone the show would be good to watch again. That was my uncle. ARGH. I very calmly stated that I had always preferred Sara over Catherine and Mother looked at me horrified. We don't often agree anyway. Then my younger sister had to put her two cents in and preceeded to say just where the show went wrong and that she hadn't watched it in two years. I said how would you know anything about it since you don't watch it anymore. Then my sister-in-law, the maybe future shrink had to put in what she thought about Sara's character and called her neurotic and borderline something-I-can't pronounce.

I really do not like cold weather, I like warm sunny days. But we're just starting winter here so I'll feel like I'm hiberating until then.

Our company's finally left and I'm just now able to relax and survey my damaged house. Actually it's not too bad, just so many things out of place, mostly my doing when I prepared for the company which included a small child.
